Veterinary Feed for Dogs and Cats with Pathologies🩺🐾

Each animal is different and has very specific needs, so we should never generalize when it comes to food.

With the irruption of animal feed in the market and its subsequent popularization, already more towards the 80's, all dogs and cats ate practically the same. These diets were based mainly on cereal industry surpluses, very cheap, supplemented with meat industry wastes. This had its problems, due to deficits such as taurine, so these diets were later adapted and improved in order to cover all their needs.

The first thing, being the most obvious, was to adapt the food to the different stages of the animal's life. A puppy in full growth, in whose diet there must be a great amount of fat and protein, cannot need the same as an old dog that hardly moves.

Subsequently, more and more finer details were added, offering something specific according to the type of breed or size. At first it was thought to be a purely commercial issue, but it is now obvious to anyone that a Chihuahua toy of 2 kg. adult weight does not have the same nutritional requirements as a St. Bernard. Their build is different, as is their metabolism, and the dietary differences go far beyond kibble size.

At this point, when we have adapted food for our pet, whether it is a dog or a cat, according to its age and size, comes the third problem, which is perhaps the biggest headache for some guardians, the appearance of a pathology.

It is essential at this point not to generalize and to find an extremely specific diet for the specific problem that our pet has, which will not be the same as that of the neighbor in the third floor or that of the one we meet in the park.

Because if a routine analysis of your golden dog shows altered renal values, a diet for large dogs, low in fat, adapted to their age, is useless. At that moment you have to look for a diet that reduces the amount of protein and phosphorus, to limit the work of the kidney and low in calcium and vitamin D. You have to go to a Veterinary line.

Faced with a urinary problem of your cat, so frequent, with disordered urination, out of place and painful, even with blood, the feed for sterilized cats that until now was perfect no longer works, because you need, among other things, to promote urinary dilution and control minerals, limiting the intake of magnesium and phosphorus, which in these cases often precipitate forming crystals. You need a Veterinary line feed.

If your Pug has a heart problem you will need a diet that limits sodium. If your German Shepherd has joint problems with enormous discomfort, lameness and exercise intolerance, it requires a diet with lots of chondroprotectors, collagen and natural anti-inflammatory. If you have a cat with IBD, vomiting and diarrhea will be a constant, you will look for an exceptionally digestible diet that provides probiotics to take care of his digestive tract and promote transit. And if your French Bulldog “is allergic to everything”, you will search high and low to find a diet that avoids all those problematic ingredients and provides more hypoallergenic ones and hydrolyzed protein to avoid reactions. You are looking for a Veterinary line feed.

For all these pathologies, and many others such as Diabetes, Leishmania, pancreatic or liver problems, we offer Lenda Vet Nature, which attends to each of them in detail, looking not only for the most suitable ingredients for each pathology and in the right proportions, but also supplements all diets with nutraceutical ingredients, which are those that not only nourish optimally, but also have beneficial properties for health, such as probiotics, vitamins and minerals, natural antioxidants and botanical supplements grouped in functional cores (FAECS) specific to each pathology.

Veterinary advice will be essential to evaluate each case and taking into account their tests and results, individual characteristics and even the convergence at the same time of several pathologies or needs, to find the most appropriate diet in each case.
