Although dogs have always been the pet par excellence, due to their faithful character and selfless love, the number of homes that opt for a cat is increasing.
Which is logical, because although they are often persecuted by the reputation of being surly, in most cases, nothing could be further from the truth. They are loving companions with a lot of affection to give and to receive, and their usual independent character makes them one more reason to choose them as a canine companion, especially for certain lifestyles, as they usually adapt much better when they have to spend time alone, for example because of the working hours of their guardians. If this can be a drama for many dogs, with uneasiness and stress manifested with barking and whining, it is usually much more bearable for the cat, more self-sufficient in this aspect, that although it enjoys your company, it is so happy in your absence.
Another point in favor is that it is not necessary to take them out to do their needs in the street, which is a plus for sedentary guardians or for those who, due to work or family burden, do not have the necessary time for long walks. A cat will have this need covered with one (or several!) litter boxes which, of course, must always be clean.
And what about their diet?
As a “secondary” pet, although there are countless options for them in the market, the offer is always significantly lower for them than for their canine companions.
Specifically with regard to snacks, treats and prizes, the options for cats are usually much more limited than for dogs, for which there are millions of treats in all kinds of formats, compositions, colors and sizes. Perhaps their tendency to overweight or the fact that we do not enter them like dogs (order-prize), makes this resource is used less, but they also deserve a treat and that is specific for them.
Cats have quite different dietary requirements than dogs, and while it is fine to peck at some dog food or snacks occasionally, as there is no ingredient that per se is harmful to the cat, if it is done frequently it can become problematic. In general, cat food needs an extra supply of taurine and a higher amount of fat and protein. In addition, the amount of other ingredients, such as cereals, should be much lower, at the risk of causing digestive problems. All this is due to the fact that, unlike the dog, the cat is a strict carnivore, which justifies this greater need for protein and that the amount of cereal is little or nothing.
With this in mind and as we mentioned in another post, in Lenda we offered completely natural treats, which due to their composition were perfect for both species. But the growing demand for something specific for cats leads us to our new treats, specially designed for them and adjusted to their needs, so that feline guardians can reward our pets with the peace of mind and security of knowing that it is a food designed for them.
So we have the Salmon Gummies, 100% salmon, nothing more and nothing less. Pure source of Omega 3.
Chinchiños, dehydrated anchovies, because what could be juicier, and above all more natural, for a cat than some little fish offered just like that, just as they are? A joy to watch them enjoy!
Maxi Sushi, an irresistible delight. Sushi pieces of dried salmon, made with top quality ingredients.
Hake Bites, dehydrated hake skin with an irresistible fishy aroma, you'll see they'll love it!
And last but not least, Crispy Sailor, fish sticks wrapped in salmon skin, in 50 gr. bags, adapted to their consumption, which will delight your feline companion.
Now if, our cats have sweets to their height, which not only will provide them with ideal nutrients to supplement their diet, but also will delight our felines.
